//New Sounds Of Europe

This year we’ve ripped up the rulebook to make the EMAs a ground-breaking new affair, where your vote is more important than ever!

One of our highlights this year is our New Sounds of Europe category, where you will be voting for the best new emerging European act. The winner will not only receive the prestigious EMA Award, but will also get the opportunity to perform live at the EMAs in Munich on 1 November!

This is how it works…
From 29 August, when the voting starts, you’re voting for your top local New Sounds of Europe nominees. So if you’re from the UK, you will vote on a UK act, if you’re from Sweden, you’ll be voting for a Swedish act and so on... If your favourite new act isn’t on the list, you can still nominate them.

NSOE local winners:
This is when your country really needs you. As of 24 September, 16 local European winners will emerge and go head to head to compete against each other in the second round of voting. Get behind and support your local New Sounds of Europe winner until 28 October.

Knock off round:
From Sunday 14 October, we’ll be knocking out one country (one local NSOE act) per day – no mercy. The act with the least votes on that day will go. 15 days later, on October 28th, only three bands will remain in the battle.

The live show:
The three most popular acts will travel to Munich on 1 November to compete for the prestigious New Sounds of Europe title – and it’s up to you to decide on a winner on the night. You can keep voting online and on your mobile via SMS during the live EMA show.
